Dina Meyer is an New York native who was raised in Forest Hills Queens. She moved to Dix Hills Long Island just when she was finishing her high school junior year. Her two brothers are Gregory the elder brother of her and Evan. She started her career in entertainment when she was 9 years old, and began modeling. Her acting career began in The Neighborhood Playhouse, New York. She studied the techniques of Sanford Meisner with Ron Stetson for three years. Sandra Bullock and Michael Douglas were among other actors who received such training. The first time she was cast as an actress was in the soap-opera Beverly Hills, 90210, in which she had to relocate away from Los Angeles. Soon after, she scored the role of the main character in the film Johnny Mnemonic, in which she performed the majority of her own stunts, establishing herself as an athlete. She was also represented by Matt LeBlanc, so through her talent agent she managed to secure a regular spot on Friends.
