Lexis was born into the same family who played golf and would have had plenty of experience playing the game. The beginning of her golfing career proved to be a huge great success. She was the first woman to qualify in 2007 to compete in the US Women's Open. The competition was not won but she did finish the second player in 2007 after taking home the Aldila Junior Classic. This was her first win at the American Junior Golf Association.
